Ground Transportation
There are a number of ground transportation options at L.A.-area airports. Please refer to the airport Web sites above for details.

Shuttles and Taxis

Shuttles
Two shared-ride van companies, Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle, operate out of Los Angeles-area airports. Representatives for these shuttles can be found at the airports outside of baggage claim. Contact the companies directly for more information and to make a reservation in advance.

SuperShuttle, (800) 258-3826.
Prime Time Shuttle, (800) 733-8267
Taxis
It is difficult to hail a taxi on the street in Los Angeles. You must generally call to order a taxi in advance. Check your local phonebook for telephone numbers. From the airport, taxis can be hired on the curb outside of baggage claim. A taxi from LAX to the Getty Center takes 30-45 minutes depending on traffic, and costs at approximately $50-75.
