The following information might be useful to graduate interns, library grant recipients, and other special guests in need of temporary or permanent accommodations while in Los Angeles. Those arriving outside of their programmatic dates and in need of lodging might want to refer to this page as well. If choosing to lodge based on the proximity to The Getty, please note that The Getty Center is located in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles and The Getty Villa is located in Pacific Palisades. Neighboring areas are Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Beverly Hills, Palms, Mar Vista, Westwood, West Los Angeles, and Malibu.

Most hotels are usually $210 and up per night, with an additional cost for parking. Make sure to ask for a smoking or nonsmoking room if you have a preference.

Zumahousing offers shared dormitory-style lodging for local university students nearby the UCLA area. The space is fully furnished and offers leases for the academic year. The minimum lease agreement is 6 months.
