The Early Life of Taddeo
Taddeo in the Sistine Chapel Drawing Michelangelo's Last Judgment

Here Taddeo, clearly more grown up, works over in pen a red chalk sketch from Michelangelo's Last Judgment fresco, which covers the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. At Taddeo's feet are a hat, a flask, sustenance, and rolled-up paper. Taddeo approaches his hero Michelangelo's complex and turbulent figures with confidence, suggesting his own growing artistic authority.

audio Artist Peter Zokosky describes how Federico created a three-dimensional reality in this drawing.
