The Early Life of Taddeo
Taddeo Returns to Rome Escorted by Drawing and Spirit Towards the Three Graces

Nursed back to health, Taddeo returns to Rome. This time he has a happier entrance, guided by allegorical figures of Drawing/Design (Disegno) and Spirit (Spirito). He enters the city through the Porta Flaminia, on the Piazza del Popolo, with the Three Graces represented ahead. In addition to Taddeo's independent study of the great works of Rome, he also gained useful experience working with other artists.
