Gospel of Saint Mark (Bible, sacred text)

Note: Second book of the New Testament, one of the four canonical gospels and the three synoptic gospels. Traditional authori is St. Mark. Topics include the ministry of Jesus from his baptism by John the Baptist to his death and burial and the discovery of the empty tomb. Scholars believe it is the earliest gospel, written by an anonymous author using various miracle stories, controversy stories, parables, and a passion narrative.
