	Zaō Gongen (Buddhist character)

Note: Guardian deity of Mount Kinpu located in Nagano prefecture, Japan; rare example of a purely Japanese deity included in the Buddhist pantheon. Described as the combined manifestation of Shakyamuni Buddha, Miroku, and Thousand-Armed Kannon. Often depicted with one leg and one arm raised in a fierce stance, sometimes holding a vajra and wearing a dhoti.
