Note: Japanese glazed ceramic ware produced in Seto by one of the so-called Six Ancient Kilns, dating from the 12th century to the end of the 15th century. Included are ash-glazed bottles, bowls, dishes and jars with four small handles, new shapes, patterns, iron glazed-wares and utensils for Buddhist rituals, and items household use, typically tea ceremony ware. |

Dutch ..... Japanse geglazuurde keramiek die van de 12e tot het eind van de 15e eeuw geproduceerd werd in de zogeheten 'zes oude ovens' van Seto. Producten uit deze traditie maakten gebruik van nieuwe vormen en patronen en waren onder andere flessen met asglazuur, kommen, borden, potten met vier kleine handvatten, waren met ijzerglazuur, gereedschap voor boeddhistische rituelen en andere huishoudelijke voorwerpen, zoals theewaren. |
