Dutch ..... Een kleurloos, licht ontvlambaar, schadelijk en giftig gas, een combinatie van fosfor en waterstof. Deze stof wordt wel gebruikt als snel en goedkoop ontsmettingsmiddel dat bovendien geen residu achterlaat, maar de gezondheidsrisico's die fosfine met zich meebrengt, alsmede de schade die de verbinding kan aanbrengen aan materialen als leer, veren en vachten, hebben ertoe geleid dat het gebruik ervan aan banden is gelegd. |
