Cultivated for its lightweight and fine-grained timber, and as an ornamental with massed sweetly-scented violet to cream-colored, trumpet-shaped flowers that appear in Spring. |

Dutch ..... Geslacht van bladverliezende bomen in de familie Paulownaceae of Scrophulariaceae, inheems in Oost-Azië. Draagt grote, hartvormige en meestal harige bladeren. De bomen worden verbouwd voor hun lichte en fijnkorrelige hout, alsmede als sierbomen met veel geurige, trompetvormige, violette of crèmekleurige bloemen die in de lente verschijnen. |
