It is rarer than halite (sodium chloride) and occurs as soft, bitter-tasting, white or grayish, glassy cubes or as masses with halite and gypsum in evaporite deposits in Germany, New Mexico, and Mount Vesuvius. |

Dutch ..... Kleurloos of wit mineraal dat bestaat uit kaliumchloride, en dat meestal voorkomt in de vorm van kubusvormige kristallen. Het is zeldzamer dan haliet (natriumchloride) en komt voor als zachte, bitter smakende, witte of grijsachtige glasachtige blokjes of als massa samen met haliet en gips in evaporietafzettingen in Duitsland, New Mexico en op de Vesuvius. |
