Note: Refers to a carbonate of ammonium commonly known as hartshorn. It is a white powder used in smelling salts, baking powder, textile dyeing, and other applications. In conservation, a solution of ammonium carbonate is used as a solubilizing agent for extraction of soluble salts present on deteriorated stone surfaces. |

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een carbonaat van ammonium dat ook wel hertshoorn wordt genoemd. Het is een wit poeder dat wordt gebruikt in reukzout, bakpoeder, textielverfstof en andere toepassingen. In de conservering wordt een oplossing van ammoniumcarbonaat gebruikt als oplosbaar makend middel voor de extractie van oplosbare zouten op verslechterde steenoppervlakken. |
