Note: A mesh fabric made from threads or cords that are knotted or woven at regular intervals. Nets were originally made by hand, but are now typically machine woven. Net may range from a lace-like fabric to coarse nets used for sports equipment and hunting. For the objects consisting of meshed arrangements of threads, cords, or ropes that have been twisted, knotted, or woven together at regular intervals, use "nets (objects)." |

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een weefsel met een open structuur gemaakt van garen, draad of touw, gewoonlijk van zijde, katoen, nylon of kunstzijde, met fijne tot grove mazen met vaste afmetingen. De mazen zijn met de hand of machinaal aan elkaar geknoopt. Het materiaal kan worden gebruikt om uiteenlopende artikelen te maken, van sluiers en afwerking van kleding tot tennis- of visnetten. Te onderscheiden van fijne netten die worden gebruikt in kant, hoofddeksels en andere kleding. Gebruik 'netten (objecten)' voor objecten die bestaan uit netvormige schikkingen van draden, knopen of touwen die met een zekere regelmaat zijn verdraaid, geknoopt of samengeweven. |

Spanish ..... Se refiere a un textil tejido abierto hecho de hebras, hilos, madejas o cuerdas, habitualmente de seda, algodón, nylon o rayón, con mallas finas a toscas de dimensión fija. Se caracteriza por ser una simple malla hecha de nudos, realizada a mano o máquina. Puede ser utilizada en varios artículos como velos y ropa de adorno hasta redes de tenis y redes de pescar. La red fina que se utiliza en encajes, tocados y otros accesorios es designada a menudo como "enmallado" y no como "red". Para los objetos formados por disposición en redes de hebras, cuerdas o cordeles que han sido enrollados, anudados o entretejidos a intervalos regulares, use "red (objetos)." |
