Note: Developed version of the snaphance, having a lug at the end of a combined sear and trigger lever, which projects through an opening in the lock plate inside in front of the cock to hold it at half cock. They are found most often on Scottish pistols of the 18th century. |

Dutch ..... Snaphaansloten met een uitsteeksel aan het uiteinde van een combinatie van een haanpal en een trekkerhefboompje, die naar binnen uitsteken door een opening in de slotplaat precies voor de haan om deze half gespannen te houden. Vooral gebruikt op Schotse pistolen uit de 18e eeuw. |
