Dutch ..... Te gebruiken voor openbare koetsen met stevige, grote, eivormige kasten met welvende panelen in een ophanging met drie stangen en een draagbeugel; hebben zeer veel bagageruimte, zitplaatsen voor zes, negen of twaalf passagiers en vaak daarnaast nog zitplaatsen op het dak; gemaakt in de Verenigde Staten vanaf ca. 1820 tot het begin van de 20e eeuw. |
German ..... Öffentliche Kutsche mit einem großen, robusten, eiförmigen Kasten mit gebogenen Paneelen, der über eine Aufhängung mit Ledergurten auf einem Fahrgestell mit drei Stangen aufgesetzt ist. Die Kutsche bietet viel Stauraum für Gepäck und Platz für sechs, neun oder zwölf Passagiere, häufig gibt es noch zusätzliche Sitzfläche auf dem Dach. Konstruiert in den Vereinigten Staaten seit den 1820er Jahren bis zum frühen 20. Jahrhundert. |

Úsese para designar un coche público con un cuerpo robusto, grande y ovoide, con paneles curvados situados sobre tres perchas, con una gran cantidad de espacio parra equipaje, asientos para seis, nueve o doce pasajeros, y frecuentemente con asientos adicionales en el techo.
