Bij vogels zijn vleugels speciaal aangepaste voorledematen, bij vleermuizen (en de uitgestorven pterodactyli, enz.) verlengingen van de huid die zijn bevestigd aan aangepaste delen van de voorledematen, en bij insecten vliesachtige uitgezette delen die zijn bevestigd aan de thorax en aan de ledematen. |
