WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Getty Returns to Weekly COVID Testing

As the numbers of positive cases rise in Los Angeles, we will return to weekly testing for anyone working at our sites, beginning today. Staff who are regularly scheduled to work at one of our sites, or those who have one-off visits planned, will be scheduled for a test if it has been seven days since their last test at Getty. These appointments are made based on the schedules provided by your program or department. Once the test is scheduled, you will receive an email from reservations@getty.edu which will include the link to register for your test. If you’ve registered before, you do not need to re-register and may use the QR code you have already been given. If you don’t have it, you may re-register and receive a new QR code. Results will be sent to the email and/or cell phone number you provide and should be received within 24-48 hours. Please note: if you receive a positive test result, you should immediately contact your supervisor. You may email any questions to hr@getty.edu.

Gettyhr.com Now Available in Spanish

The Getty Human Resources website is now available in Spanish as well as English. Users can select either language at the top of any page. We hope this makes the important HR documents and detailed plan information on gettyhr.com easier to find and use for Spanish-speaking employees and their families. Please email us at hr@getty.edu or call 310-440-6523 with any questions.

Mid-Year Appraisals

The mid-year appraisal process opens tomorrow, December 1, 2020, and remains open until February 5, 2021. Supervisors will receive an email notification from eAppraisal tomorrow morning, indicating you have a task to complete.

The mid-year appraisal form remains unchanged from last year. Supervisors summarize performance by acknowledging contributions and significant accomplishments, give feedback about current goals and competencies, and as necessary provide corrective feedback to help staff focus on areas of improvement. It is also an opportunity for employees and supervisors to document the progress or accomplishment of goals and adjust or set new ones, which are updated in the “Goals” tab.

Please contact your HR Specialist if you have any questions. If you have trouble logging in or need help resetting your password, contact Getty Digital Help Desk or (310) 440-1199.

NEWS

Sweet as Pie

Thank you to Bon Appetit staff, who created more than 1,000 apple and pumpkin pies to give to staff working at the Center and Villa last week. The pies were free to take home for Thanksgiving feasts. Thanks go out as well to staff who work on site—hope everyone had a safe and lovely Thanksgiving!

Trust Art Collection

In the late 1980s and 90s, the Trust acquired some 260 works of art, mostly prints and drawings, for display in offices and public areas. Through the years, many of these works have been exposed to detrimental light levels, while some have been subject to handling accidents. In order to bring the collection's care into line with Getty standards, the GRI, which now oversees the collection, is planning to deinstall works currently on view. Staff in affected areas will be notified in advance. Thank you for your patience as we undertake this critical project to improve how we preserve and share these works of art.
