	Maori Creation Story (Maori narrative)

Note: Maori myth of the creation of the world and the Maori people. Rangi and Papa lie together atop their children, constraining them in darkness; to achieve light and freedom, the children arrange to push their parents apart so that Rangi will be the sky above while Papa will remain below as earth mother to nurture them.
