Hawaiian Creation Story (Hawaiian narrative)

Note: Kane was assisted in creation by Ku and Lono. In one version of the creation story, in the first era, Kane dwelled alone in darkness. Second, light and Ku and Lono were created. Third were fashioned the earth and things on the earth. Second were created man and woman. In the fourth era, Kane left mankind upon the earth to suffer death, since they had broken his laws.
