Crow Fair (American history, began 1904)

Note: One of the oldest continously held Native American festivals; began in 1904 as a result of a collaboration between Crow (Apsáalooke) leadership and the Bureau of Indian Affairs to encourage agricultural production and cultural preservation. Agriculture is no longer a focus; the Fair is now well-known for its parades of horses and riders in regalia, powwow dancing, and art exhibits.
