Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition (American event, 1898)

Note: Hierarchy: Named Events, Named Exhibitions World's fair held in Omaha, Nebraska from June to October 1898. Known for its "Indian Congress," a gathering of 545 Native Americans from 36 different tribes, which was billed as both an attraction for fairgoers and as an opportunity for Native Americans to socially assemble. Also contained a miniature "White City," based off of the larger fair structure at the Chicago's World's Fair occurring a few years earlier.
