Quetzalcoatl (Nahua deity)

Note: ENGLISH: Literally, “Quetzal-(feathered) Serpent” in Nahuatl, a Postclassic Nahua deity related to wind and associated with the morning and evening star (Venus). His array includes a copilli (conical cap) and often the buccal mask of Ehecatl. Related to similar feathered-serpent deities found across Mesoamerica. SPANISH: Literalmente, “Serpiente (emplumada de) quetzal” en náhuatl, una deidad nahua posclásica relacionada con el viento y asociado con el lucero del alba y estrella de la tarde (Venus). Su vestimenta incluye un copilli (tapa cónica) y, a menudo, la máscara bucal de Ehecatl. Relacionado con deidades similares de serpiente emplumada que se encuentran en Mesoamérica.
