	Donghak Peasant Revolution (Korean history, 1894)

Note: Rebellion of Korean peasants in 1894 that stemmed from a group that followed a nationalist religion named Donghak (also Tonghak), which the government opposed. A large segment of the peasantry joined together in defeating Korean troups in the south. The Korean government received aid from Japan, which helped spark the first Sino-Japanese War.
