Father Time (allegorical character)

Note: The anthropomorphized representation of time as an elderly, bearded man. He is often, but not always, dressed in a long garment and carrying a scythe and an hourglass or other timekeeping device, representing time's constant forward movement. The figure likely developed from Chronos, the Greek Titan of human time, reaping, and calendars. The figure also is related to Father Time.
