Hypnerotomachia Poliphili (romance, Colonna, 1499)

Note: Romance, said to be by Francesco Colonna; an allegory in which the character Poliphilo pursues his lover Polia through a dreamlike landscape. The tale is famous for having been published in Venice in 1499, in an elegant page layout, with refined woodcut illustrations.
