Benedetto di Pietro dal Mugello (Italian priest and scribe, 1389-1448)
|
Note: Benedetto and his brother Guido, later 'Fra Angelico,' probably trained in the manuscript industry at S. Michele Visdomini as scribe and illuminator, respectively. They entered the Dominican monestery of Fiesole at an unknown date. Benedetto became head of the monastery in 1445 and may have assisted Fra Angelico with the frescoes at San Marco. |
