Family Festival

Step back in time at our fall Family Festival, which celebrates the current photography exhibitions Scene of the Crime: Photo by Weegee and Pictures for the Press. Enjoy a feast of music, with everything from blues to Broadway classics filling the air throughout the day.

Vocalworks Radio Hour
Join in the radio craze of the 1930s and '40s with a fun variety show combining musical performances, period costumes, vintage commercials, and a bit of on-the-air news to put the music into historical perspective.

Anybody Can Get It
Anybody Can Get It showcases some of the best up-and-coming tap performers in Los Angeles. Their high-energy, up-tempo routines embody the spirit of the '30s and '40s.

Pete Jacobs and Wartime Radio Revue with the Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association
The Wartime Radio Revue performs music and dance from the late '30s to the early '50s featuring hits from performers such as Louis Prima, Sarah Vaughn, Harry Connick, Jr., Bobby Daren, Kay Starr, Louis Jordan and Ella Fitzgerald. Plus, get up and practice your lindy hop with dancers from the Pasadena Ballroom Association.

Brother Yusef and Robert S. Hilton
Enjoy down-home blues with bluesman Brother Yusef on the slide guitar and vocals and Robert S. Hilton on the washboard and harmonica.

Leslie Perry, Brother Yusef, and the Three Peace Ensemble
Leslie Perry is a modern-day griot, a storyteller in the West African tradition. He brings down-home stories to life accompanied by the music of bluesman Brother Yusef and the Three Peace Ensemble, featuring Charles Carter, Robert S. Hilton, and Paul Morehouse.
