Lapiths (Greco-Roman people)

Note: Legendary Greco-Roman people who lived in Thessaly, in the valley of the Peneus and on Mount Pelion. According to some myths, they were descended from the twin of the founder of the Centaurs. In the Iliad the Lapiths assisted the Greek fleet in the Trojan War.
