Proserpina (Roman deity)

Note: Roman deity identified with the ancient Italian native fertility goddess Libera, daughter of the grain and agriculture goddess Ceres and wife to Liber. In time, Proserpina took on the characteristics and story of the Greek goddess, Persephone.
