Gospel of Saint John (Bible, sacred text)

Note: Fourth canonical gospel in the New Testament, placed after the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It begins with the witness and affirmation of John the Baptist and concludes with the death, burial, resurrection, and post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. The authori is traditionally St. John. Scholars do not agree on the author, but believe this gospel, the three Johannine epistles, and the Book of Revelation are a single corpus.
