	Sino-Japanese War (Chinese-Japanese history, 1937-1945)

Note: War between China and Japan, stemming from the latter's expansionism in the region, particularly Manchuria. Japan allied themselves with Nazi Germany and fascist Italy during World War II, and their defeat ended their occupation of China, which had suffered some of the heaviest losses in the entire war.
