Story of the Prodigal Son (parable, Christian iconography)

Note: Parable from Luke 15:11-32; tale concerns a father's two sons. One son is faithful to his father and prosperous, while the other strays from home and wastes his wealth. When the wayward son returns home, the father rejoices and fetes the son, to the chagrin of the faithful other son.
