Ānanda (Buddhist character)

Note: The Buddha’s cousin, disciple, and personal attendant, renowned for his ability to memorize the Buddha’s sermons. A youthful Ānanda is often positioned to the Buddha's right in preaching scenes, across from the elder disciple Kāśyapa, also known as Mahākāśyapa.
