Nativity of Christ (New Testament narrative)

Note: Narrative of Jesus born in Bethlehem in Judea, to the virgin Mary. Mary and Joseph have traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem for a census; Jesus is born in a humble setting, laid in a manger. Angels proclaim his birth; shepherds come to adore him. Magi follow a star to Bethlehem, bringing gifts and recognizing Jesus as savior. From the gospels of Luke, Matthew, and some apocryphal texts.
