James the Less, Saint (Christian character)

Note: Apostle of Jesus; sometimes called "the Just." Referred to alternately as the son of Alphaeus or as Jesus' brother, although most traditions have historically maintained that this is the same person. Said to have been the first bishop of Jerusalem. Called "the Less" to disambiguate him with the other apostle, James the Greater. The terms "lesser" and "greater" probably refer to the relative heights of the men.
