Note: Francesco Villamena engraved the suite of prints titled La sacra Genesi after the frescoes executed by Raphael's workshop in the Vatican Logge. Dedicated to Cardinal Aldobrandini, the suite was issued posthumously as a bound volume by the heirs of Francesco Villamena, as well as by Giovanni Battista de Rossi; The volume includes one title page and 20 engravings that depict Old and New Testament scenes after Raphael. A caption and a monogram of the engraver is engraved in the lower margin of each print; Volume lacks binding. The plates are sewn and numbered in brown ink in the lower right corner. (Moved from 90-B56 to 2002.PR.20*). Publication: In Roma : Appresso Gio Batta: de Rossi milanese in piazza Nauona ..., MDCXXVI [1626].
