(Firenze : Nella Stamperia De Massi e Landi, [1638]); The print depicts the Church of San Lorenzo, Florence, decorated by Alfonso Parigi for the obsequies "in absentia" of Holy Roman emperor Ferdinand II, celebrated by Duke Ferdinando II on April 2, 1637; A cross section of a side aisle of San Lorenzo is shown, revealing two bays adorned with draperies and cartouches. Monumental skeletons in animated poses and plumed costumes stand on pedestals before the columns; Library has another impression of the etching bound with Francesco Rondinelli's funeral book Eseqvie della Maesta Cesarea dell'imperadore Ferdinando II ..; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no.
