Bernardelli, Félix (Brazilian painter, 1866-1905)
|
Note: He moved with his family to Rio de Janeiro, when his parents were invited by the emperor, Dom Pedro II (1825 - 1891), to tutor the princesses Isabel (1846 - 1921) and Leopoldina (1847 - 1871). Felix Bernardelli studied at the Academia Imperial de Belas Artes [Imperial Academy of Fine Arts], in 1877, and studied in Rome. He also took an interest in music, adopting the violin as his musical instrument.As a painter he specialized in genre and landscape painting. |
