Note: Group of artists met while studying at the Art Institute of Chicago. Founders included Art Green (1941-), Jim Falconer (1943-), Gladys Nilsson (1940-), Jim Nutt (1938-), Suellen Rocca (1943-) and Karl Wirsum (1939-). Their work individually and collectively tended toward a graphic figurative style influenced by comics, popular culture, and outsider art. They collectively created catalogs and posters for their exhibitions. |
