Yi Am (Korean calligrapher and government official, 1297-1364)
|
Note: Yi Am was a calligrapher and civil official in the late Goryeo period. Along with Tanyeon (1070-1159), he made the greatest imprint on the history of calligraphy during the Goryeo Dynasty. He was an early adopter of the Songxue style of the Chinese Yuan Dynasty's Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322). He was a leader in calligraphy in the period between the late Goryeo and early Joseon Dynasties. |
