Prinsloo, Ivor (South African architect, 1935-2002)

Note: South African architect, Ivor Prinsloo practiced in the UK, France, Chile and the USA. In South Africa during the late 1960's, he organized the Urban Action Group at the University of Witwatersrand. In Chile, Prinsloo designed various projects for the Allende government prior to its disintegration. From 1974 until 1998, he worked as the director of the University of Cape Town's school of architecture where he introduced the taboo African Studies Program. He died on March 22, 2002 at the age of 66 during a hiking accident. South African architect.
