Note: Frazione on the site of an ancient Etruscan site on the border between Etruria and Liguria, which gave its name to the district of Lunigiana. Contains remains of an elliptical Roman amphitheater dating to the 1st century CE. It destroyed by Saracens in 1016 CE. Luni was famous for its wine and marble quarries.
