Note: A thirty-seven mile long peninsula in Azerbaijan, extending eastward into the Caspain Sea. An extension of the Caucasus Mountains, the peninsula is a plain which contains vineyards and tea plantations. However, on the southern coast of the peninsula is Azerbaijan's capital Baku, known for its rich oil reserves. |
