Note: Small village near the present-day eastern border of Poland, notorious as the location of the Sobibór extermination camp, built by the Nazis in March of 1942. The Sobibór camp was constructed as part of Operation Reinhard, the program meant to exterminate the Jews of Poland. At least 167,000 people were killed at Sobibór.
