Note: The largest lake in Armenia, with an area of 525 square miles. It rests 6,250 feet above sea level and eventually drains into the Caspain Sea. Six hydroelectric dams were built around the lake, which is rich in various fish, including trout. A number of ancient churches are situated on the shores of the lake. |
