Note: Ancient city located on a steep hill, the end of a ridge of the Taurus, with deep gorges on either side. It is known from various documentation, including an inscription in Alexandria dated to 3rd century BCE; it is listed by Ptolemy, Hierokles, and the Notitiae. The city appears to have been among the most important of the region. Its coinage dates from the 3rd century CE; it was still in existance in the 5th century CE.
