Note: Located 7 miles (11 km) east of the modern city of Baghdad. Surface finds date to the Akkadian period, but all excavated epigraphic evidence dates to the Old Babylonian period. The ancient name is uncertain; however, among the ancient names proposed, currently many scholars favor either Nerebtum or Kiti. |
