Note: The ruins of the ancient Hittite capital, located near the town Boğazkale. In 1380 BCE, enemies destroyed the city, and it was later restored by King Suppiluliumas I, who made it the capital of his empire. The Phrygians and the Galatians occupied the city after the fall of the Hittite Empire, around 1200 BCE. |
