Note: Mayan site having long occupation from the Preclassic through to the Postclassic period. Named for a type of cauldron found near the site, employed by chicleros (chicle-sap gatherers) to boil chicle. Site of the remains of two groups of monumental architecture comprising 21 masonry structures arranged around two plazas and one raised palatial court. Contains hieroglyphic inscriptions.
