Dutch ..... Kimberliet is een stollingsgesteente, dat soms diamanten bevat. Het is vernoemd naar de stad Kimberley in Zuid-Afrika, waar de ontdekking van een 83,5-karaats (16,70 g) diamant, genaamd de Ster van Zuid-Afrika, in 1869 leidde tot een diamantkoorts en het graven van de open mijn genaamd de Big Hole. |
