| Dutch ..... Een veerwagen is een bijzonder soort veerpont dat niet vaart maar over rails rijdt. Het gaat daarbij om een platform op een boven water stekende stellage, waar wielen onder gemonteerd zijn. Het trekt zichzelf aan een ketting over de bodem van het kanaal naar de overkant. Tegenwoordig zijn zij in Nederland niet meer in gebruik. |
